Service-Learning OpportunitiesAt — Project Access
Service learning students play a fundamental role in providing relevant and quality programs to the communities we serve. Students will assist the Resident Service Coordinator with the daily operations and direct programming of the Family Resource Centers, which benefit affordable housing residents. Students will have the opportunity to define their roles and responsibilities based on their particular skill sets, site needs, and learning objectives.
How to work individually and with a team. Students will learn the needs of the community and the different types of programs and services offered at the Family Resource Center for the unique residents. Students will continually learn how to assess, address and offer appropriate resources.
There will be shadowing opportunities where students will observe programming from staff to model behavior and flow of programs. Additional training opportunities will be provided on an as-needed basis
Assigned students will be working on-site, in a facility supervised by a Project Access staff member. Student may also be working with other volunteers and interns. We value staff, volunteer, intern and resident safety and do not have assignments involving un-safe conditions.
