Ascendtials

Organization Description

ASCENDtials is a 501 (c) (3) that focuses on empowering BIPOC communities throughout Southern California and beyond. We specialize in building and sustaining critical cosmic consciousness, by providing thoughtful holistic educative tools, resources, and training programs that prepare, are preventative, and instill and reinforce a deeper appreciation for Self and community, a oneness that builds capacity, and environmental care.

Program Information

ASCENDtials is always striving to be a leader in providing new and innovative methods and tools of education about the environment and nature, civil justice and society, consciousness and knowing oneself and the universe as a whole. To achieve this goal, we have adopted experiential and service learning as ways to connect theory and practice and to offer our community an educational curriculum that goes hand in hand with practical activities, where the participants are able to learn and apply that knowledge through the events we offer.

In this manner, we are creating opportunities for our youth to gain skills that will make them more conscious about society and nature and equip them with skills, making them more competitive in the job market, as self starters existing to solve problems, rather than participate in and create them.

Our society deserves principles that help youth navigate the slew of issues they may encounter otherwise. Our opportunities exist to prepare and be preventative, increase problem-solving/skills, and simultaneously stimulate volunteering on the protection and preservation of our resources as a community, at the local level, which ultimately builds stronger more connected communities and enhances individual and collective responsibility, civic engagement, and action change towards oneness.

  • Our programs are designed to attract learners interested in seeing the holistic view in education, from the perspective of the four elements.  Students can select from sessions covering Nature, in all its characteristics.  There are activities that cater to the Earth, Fire, Water, and Air.  All of these elements require a deeper dive and understanding.  Students can make an impact by focusing on one area or all. Sessions are completely customizable according to the learner.  We are able to offer 15-25 hours per academic term and weekly hours requirements of 3-4 hours per week.  To learn more, sign on here.

You can also reach out to us at info@ascendtials.org. Please include experiential/service learning in the subject line. Look forward to hearing from you soon!

Health & Safety

Depending on the session you participate in will determine your requirement for a safety orientation and instructions. Many sessions are remote and won't require this. Please be advised that orientations will happen the day of the session, just before your experiential learning.
