Organization Description

Girlstart’s mission is to increase girls’ interest and engagement in STEM through innovative, hands-on, and informal STEM education programs.

Health & Safety

POPULATION SERVED: All of our elementary school partners are assigned a "Campus Coordinator" who is responsible for checking in with our program leaders during club time. So while the SJSU student may be alone with the minors at some points, the campus coordinators will frequently check in to see how they are doing - so they are not completely unsupervised.
Additional requirements and/or considerations
  • Background Check (e.g. fingerprinting/livescan, driving record)
  • CPR Certification
  • Driver's License
  • TB Test
  • POPULATION SERVED: Students will be working with unsupervised with minors.
