Organization Description

Holocaust Museum LA is a public non-profit museums dedicated to Holocaust education and commemoration. As a Survivor founded institution, the Museum uses primary source artifacts from its archive to provide the public with Holocaust education rand inspire a more dignified and humane world.

Program Information

Researching collections in order to create artifact metadata to then be populated within the Museum's CMS (collections management system). While doing so, the student will learn the basics of working with archival collections, metadata standards, and online research. By the end of this opportunity, students will have learned the basics of working with archival collections, metadata standards, and online research.

 

For all archival internships, including virtual and hybrid, and application with the student's resume, cover letter, and writing sample is required. If satisfactory, the student will need to be interviewed at least once by archive staff before being granted the position.
