Opportunity Summary 

For this position, your major duties will include develop, maintain, and implement movement programs, perform a detailed assessment of client and analyze data.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

This position is an internship role. Subject in this role will be under close supervision, observation and receive ongoing coaching, mentoring and development from various key players on our fitness team. This role may evolve in order to maintain alignment with the institutional program of study of which the subject is enrolled in. The Internee will participate alongside other Kinesiologist in the following areas: growing the client base by enrolling and recommending fitness programs. Instruct or coach groups or individuals in fitness programs. Demonstrate techniques and form, observe participants, and explain to them corrective measures necessary to improve their skills. Tasks/Responsibilities 1. Offer alternatives during classes or training sessions to accommodate different levels of fitness. 2. Plan routines, choose appropriate music, and choose different movements for each set of muscles, depending on participants' capabilities and limitations. 3. Evaluate individuals' abilities, needs, and physical conditions, and develop suitable training programs to meet any special requirements. 4. Monitor participants' progress and adapt programs as needed. 6. Teach proper breathing techniques used during physical exertion. 7. Instruct participants in maintaining proper exertion levels to maximize benefits from exercise routines. 8. Teach and demonstrate use of training equipment, within the scope of the fitness program. 9. Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations governing sports, recreational activities, and the use of exercise equipment. 10. Provide clients with information and resources regarding nutrition, weight management, and lifestyle issues. 11. Conduct therapeutic, recreational, or athletic activities. 12. Administer emergency first aid, wrap injuries, address minor chronic disabilities, or refer injured persons to physicians. 13. Maintain fitness equipment in accordance with applicable health and safety regulations in addition to company policy. 14. Advise clients about proper clothing and shoes. 15. Identify and recognize client needs: emotionally, physically, physiologically and mentally and make adjustments to their fitness program by way of an accommodations.

Opportunity Training 

Interns will go through a an orientation and work directly alongside professionals during entire shift
