HOPE and Wellness VolunteerAt — CSUSM Student Health and Counseling Services

Opportunity Summary 

HOPE & Wellness Volunteers will assist the the HOPE & Wellness center team with outreach/programs by staffing at the events and/or help with facilitation of workshops to educate and advocate on students' well-being. Students will act as a resource and liason to Student Health & Counseling Services. Students will also be able to assist in social media marketing efforts.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

By the end of this service learning opportunity, students will learn about the various types of services provided at SHCS. Students will be to identify resources on/off campus for students who are seeking medical/mental health support. Students will have a better understanding of what it means to be a healthy cougar. Students will also learn how to develop social media marketing posts through utilization of canva.

Opportunity Training 

Students will be provided an orientation and a training about their service learning responsibilities. Additional trainings for specific area content information will also be provided.
