Optometric Technician- Sand City VisionAt — Sand City Vision Optometry
A great opportunity for any students interested in the health/medical/optometry field to get first-hand experience interacting with patients, performing state-of-the-art instruments on patients, experience with usage of electronic health records, learning about vision and medical insurances, and hone their communication skills with different populations. The technician will be an integral part of the clinic helping patients see well. The doctor can serve as a mentor and write letters of recommendations if needed/desired. Technicians at Sand City Vision gain confidence in conversing and educating patients which help them in their path towards their future career goal.

- Must be 18 or older
Student will receive training on EHR by professional of EHR company, the owner of the practice, and other technicians and training on how to operate all instruments and adminstrative work by the owner of the practice and other technicians. It usually takes 2 weeks to be trained.
Technician will have access to myself and other experienced technicians to ask additional questions in person, via phone call/texting, messaging through EHR program, and email.
The optometric technician is not required to wear a mask at the office. On weekdays the office is open until 6:30 PM.
Students may be required to work at night until 6:30PM if desired and students may be supervised less than 50% of the time or the supervisor will be overseeing more than 8 people.
