Program Information

St. Joseph's Medical Center is a nonprofit hospital in Stockton, CA. As CommonSpirit Health (our umbrella), we make the healing presence of God known in our world by improving the health of the people we serve, especially those who are vulnerable, while we advance social justice for all.

Students will receive a wide range of experience from program development and implementation to direct patient work in the Emergency Department engaging in patient social determinant of health screenings. There are also opportunities to do outreach and work with patients with diabetes and pre-diabetes.

This placement is in the Community Health Department where we focus more on preventative programming in the community.
