Organization Description

The Oakland Scottish Rite Historical Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that seeks to maintain and preserve the historic architecture and local history of the Oakland Scottish Rite Temple. The Foundation aims to display and interpret Masonic material culture with its magnificent library and extensive archive of photographs, certificates, jewelry, and sculptures. During tours visitors will experience first-hand the rich local, statewide, and international history of Freemasonry.

Program Information

Tasks/activities students will be performing for this opportunity: Qualified interns will work with the Historical Foundation's director/historian to inventory, catalog, and in some cases, photograph and scan books, objects, photograph, and other archival materials.
