Opportunity Summary 

Become a certified peer counselor in domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking through our 65 hour training.

Crisis Line- Offer support and resources to callers

Outreach and education- strengthen public speaking skills, outreach and connect/ resources (tabling events), edit and compose agency/ project flyers or posters

Children and Youth Program- co-facilitate youth and teen groups at the local high schools (Santa Cruz County) who have disclosed domestic violence or sexual assault.

Intern characteristics that are important to use include; - Detail oriented - Self motivated - Team player - Communication skill both speaking and writing

Opportunity Training 

65 Hour peer counseling training- is require for interns who want to work with clients. offer training twice a year and also have previous recorded material.

Monthly staff meetings last Thursday of the month 1pm-2pm

Program meetings- depending on program days/times vary

We also offer trainings year round we invite our interns to participate
