Garden Coordinator - Carmel CaresAt — Carmel Cares
Carmel Cares has created a magnificent native plant garden at Forest Theater in Carmel-by-the-Sea. This requires on-going maintenance and coordination with the overall project manager and other volunteers. In addition, service learners are needed to develop an ongoing maintenance plan and perform tasks like trimming, watering, planting new plants, and other similar tasks from time to time.
As a Carmel Cares volunteer, students would get free admittance to shows at the theater. These individuals could also assist with grants and fundraising activities related to future enhancements to the garden.

SUPERVISION: Students may be supervised less than 50% of the time or the supervisor will be overseeing more than 8 people.
Sometimes, we are doing a project with a large group of students service learners will not be totally supervised 100% of the time. For instance, if we are doing a beach cleanup, service learners will be given equipment and directed to an area of the beach and a supervisor will not be with them. Same for a City cleanup or a gardening project at the Forest Theater.
