Organization Description

The Pacific Neuroscience Institute provides state-of-the-art care with a focus on minimally invasive surgical and interventional techniques, as well as novel targeted therapies that aim to restore and maintain quality of life. In collaboration with the Saint John’s Cancer Institute, PNI is also focused on translational research and clinical trials as well as fellowship education and continuing medical education.

Assessment completed via online review, communication and/or direct contact with site by Dr. Brenda Freshman, HCA Internship Coordinator, and/or review by Jamie Newman prior to establishing parent organization and program opportunities for the site; this follows CSU Student Internships Policy #6591275 (https://calstate.policystat.com/policy/6591275/latest/). 

Students may interact with patients who are elderly or have a disability. There are patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 but are advised to reschedule their appointment after ten days of their positive test.
