Outreach and Engagement AssistantAt — The Equine Healing Collaborative (EHC)

Opportunity Summary 

Often, when we serve our clients, they are in need of help outside of what we are able to provide. Partnerships in the community are essential for providing information and connections to our clients about healthcare, housing, food, education, and more.

The Outreach and Engagement Assistant at The Equine Healing Collaberative (EHC) will create resource guides for Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties for clients, contact local organizations and educate on services we provide, connect our organization with local events, and create partnerships between local organizations.

The ranch is located along Highway 68, near Pasadera / Boots Rd.

Opportunity Training 

Students will be trained one-on-one on how to go about their duties. There will be personnel available to assist in questions or provide feedback on tasks. There will also be protocols and videos to reference if those are also needed. There will be staff on site as well as other volunteers that can provide support and supervision to students.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

There may be safety hazards (such as biting or kicking) as students will be working with live, large animals. Spatial and emotional awareness is key in prevented and resolving hazardous situations. Students may want to purchase composite toe boots to prevent hazards.
