This opportunity at The Village Project Inc (TVPI) includes assisting staff with coordinating volunteers. The Assistant Volunteer Coordinator will log volunteer hours, create timesheets records when required and keep track of individuals interested in volunteering.
Community-based Service Learning Student Leaders (SL2) offer support by:
- developing service learning partnerships with faculty;
- recruiting, placing, training, and coordinating service learners;
- conducting reflection sessions at the midterm and end of semester;
- providing direct service to the community organization.
SL2s also assist service learners in the logistical aspects of service learning (e.g., identifying an appropriate service placement, completing Learning Agreements, and finding transportation to and from their service sites).
Requirements:
- Fingerprinting (background check)
Training included basic excel, timekeeping and professional communication.
Service Learner will supervised by Outreach staff. Our organization utilizes Slack and Monday.com to keep track of tasks and communicate with the volunteers.
