Opportunity Summary
Student will be working with AHA!'s Youth Advisory Committee to research and write a grant for the Fund for Santa Barbara's Youth Making Change grant opportunity. The group includes two AHA! alumni groups leads and will have feedback/input from AHA!'s full time grant writer.
Opportunity Learning Outcomes
How to lead a team through the process of identifying a grant opportunity, writing and submitting the grant with all required back up materials and documents. Student will work closely with a group of 8–10 teens, two staff group leads, and AHA!'s grant writer.
Opportunity Training
Student will have direct contact with both the Senior Director of Development as well as the Grant Writer and will work with the two adult leads of the group.
