Opportunity Summary 

This position will give students the ability to learn what it is like working in this setting from all aspects of a classroom. They can choose from 0-Kindergarten. This will include hands-on learning, engagement, recording observations, activity and lesson planning, helping to facilitate learning, and any of the teacher, development, educational related duties to support the certified teacher. Students have the opportunity to observe and work with students with mild to moderate disabilities, from vastly different socio-economic backgrounds, cultures and languages.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

What it is like to be a teacher, teacher-aide, paraeducator. Hands-on learning, engagement, recording observations, activity and lesson planning, helping to facilitate learning, and any of the teacher, development, educational related duties. Student will get experience with mild to moderate students with disabilities. They will gain experience with students from a range of socio-economic backgrounds, cultures and languages.
