Fair Housing TesterAt — Legal Aid Society of San Diego, Inc.
Fair housing testers act as "secret shoppers" in a way to help fair housing organizations uncover discriminatory housing practices by housing providers.
You will be educated about fair housing history, be trained by experienced fair housing testing coordinators, and learn how to conduct tests according to assigned profiles and report on results.
Testing coordinators provide detailed initial training as well as ongoing training and guidance during testing activities.
Although more relevant for in person interactions and student testers will likely work fully remote, training is provided for safety tips and precautions as tests are conducted.
An interview will be conducted with a testing coordinator, then students must complete and submit an application and documents to complete a background check. Upon clearance of background check, testers may begin training.
