Organization Description

Our goal and mission is to "stomp the digital divide" between Black tech executives, professionals, and entrepreneurs, while fundamentally influencing and affecting change in an industry that has historically not sought parity with respect to Blacks. Through strategic alignment with the SmartLA 2028 Initiative, we are committed to leveling the playing field by offering comprehensive training, education, networking, and mentorship opportunities. Our efforts are bolstered by the support of dedicated allies, partners, sponsors, and our global membership. Together, we are driving forward to create an equitable and inclusive future for all in the tech ecosystem.

Program Information

Our Chapter focus: Identify Opportunities, Resources and Funding for BIT Members and Foundation in Los Angeles. Advocacy Changing the recruiting culture by Introducing our Pipeline of Tech Talent Elevating Black Founders by Promoting Black Tech Excellence Making sure the entire community has access and knowledge of the benefits online Initiatives Workforce Development Digital Equity Digital Literacy Sankofa Innovation Initiative Sankofa City - SmartLA 2028 Umoja Academy, Uganda African Renaissance Conference and related African Diaspora projects.
