Behavior InterventionistAt — Autism Hope Initiative
Autism Hope Initiative provides in-person behavioral services to Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities (e.g., Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and Epilepsy).
We are currently seeking individuals to join our organization who are passionate and driven to help individuals with developmental disabilities and devote themselves to a fulfilling career in the field of Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
A minimum of six months experience working with children (special needs children in preferred but not required)
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (Travel is an essential part of the job)
Energetic and playful personality is a plus
Afternoon/evening availability
Ability to clear FBI and DOJ fingerprinting
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) a plus
Details of the position
Part-time 15-25 hours per week
Paid training
Drive to client homes (up to 20 miles)
provide ABA therapy to children with Autism and other developmental disorders in their home, school, and community
Record data for each program
Ensure client safety
Autism Hope Initiative provides supervision to BCBA candidates
Provide ABA therapy to individuals with Autism
Modify challenging behaviors and teach using principles of Applied behavior analysis and educational psychology
Implement interventions based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
Collect and graph data and explain progress
Training:
40 hours of classroom/online training on Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism
up to 10 hours of in-field training on working with children with Autism
on-going training and supervision provided by behavior analysts
Supervision will be provided remotely. In-person supervision will be provided less frequently.
Learning Outcomes:
Provide ABA therapy to individuals with Autism
Identify and explain principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
Modify challenging behaviors and teach using principles of Applied behavior analysis and educational psychology
Implement interventions based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
Collect and graph data and explain progress
