Content Development & Research Intern
SUMMARY
Founded in 2019, Radiance Leadership empowers women of Asian descent to fully embrace their identities and emerge as leaders through highly-customized learning experiences, group coaching, and community building.
We are seeking an intern who is passionate about community work and professional development. We are a very small team, so strong communication, initiative, open-mindedness, and a “why not” / “can do” attitude will be key to being successful in this role.
INTERNSHIP DETAILS
- 6 Month Internship
- 5-10 Hours per Month
- Virtual / Remote Internship, with occasional in-person team meetings or events
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Social media and newsletter content development, design and management
- Research for community building, content development, and networking/partnership opportunities
- Website revamp and management
- Support with content design and development for presentations
- Ad-hoc projects and presentation/ facilitation support as needed
- Attend community events and external events
- One final project to present on by end of internship; intern will identify topic
- Technologies: Canva, Google Suite (Email, Docs, Forms, Slides, Sheets), Mailchimp, Squarespace, Zoom; Social Media (LinkedIn & Instagram)
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be enrolled in an accredited educational institution?
- Open communication, initiative, open-mindedness, and a “why not” / “can do” attitude
- Interests in at least one of the following:
- Supporting community work / building (women & AAPI communities)
- Professional development
- Social Sciences & Research (i.e. psychology, sociology, etc.)
- Marketing
- Bonus: experience with social media (LinkedIn & Instagram), writing, content development and design, MailChimp
1 - Social media and newsletter content development, design and management
2 - Research for community building, content development, and networking/partnership opportunities
3 - Website revamp and management
4 - Support with content design and development for presentations; presentation/ facilitation support as needed
5 - One final project to present on by end of internship; intern will identify topic
Training:
1 - Recurring check-ins (bi-weekly meetings & asynchronous) for proactive planning and two-way feedback
2 - Onboarding and training for technical skills/programs that will be used for the role
3 - Shadowing for events, presentations, facilitated dialogues
4 - Providing asynchronous resources and guides
Learning Outcomes:
1 - Have a better understanding of identity and professional development concepts for supporting women and the AAPI community
2 - Develop stronger writing, research, and project management skills
3 - Create and manage social media, website, and newsletter content
4 - Leverage new technical skills for content development and design
5 - Develop and feel more confident in facilitation presenting/moderating
