Opportunity Summary 

Working with twice-exceptional (2e), neurodivergent, gifted, and talented children.

Providing individualized academic instruction and social-emotional support.

Implementing innovative, child-centered teaching methods.

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of educators and therapists.

Creating a nurturing and stimulating educational environment.

CPS Implementation Project: Design and implement a small-scale project using CPS methods with 2e children, documenting the process and outcomes.
Barton System Tutoring Sessions: Conduct structured tutoring sessions using the Barton Reading & Spelling System, with evaluations and progress tracking.
Case Study Analysis: Analyze and present a case study involving a 2e child, applying CPS and Barton techniques.
Role-Playing Exercises: Participate in role-playing exercises to simulate challenging situations and apply learned strategies.
Feedback and Evaluation Reports: Regularly prepare reports evaluating progress, effectiveness of strategies, and personal growth.

Training:

Barton training workshops: intense workshops covering each level of the Barton reading and spelling system focusing on understanding the structure and methods of the program.
Hands-On Practice: Opportunities for practical application with students, under supervision, to develop skills in using the Barton system.
Orientation and Workshops: Initial orientation on CPS principles, followed by regular workshops to deepen understanding and practice skills.
Case Studies: Analysis of case studies to understand diverse scenarios and appropriate CPS applications.
Role-Playing and Simulations: Engaging in role-playing exercises and simulations to practice CPS techniques in controlled, reflective environments.

Learning Outcomes:

Assessment and Evaluation: Acquire skills in assessing 2e children's learning and progress, using both formal and informal methods.

Adaptability and Creativity: Develop adaptability and creativity in teaching and engaging 2e children, as they often require innovative and flexible approaches.
