Case ManagerAt — Chambers Law Firm, P.C.
The case manager is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the firm's file system and records, and lends organizational support during trial preparation.
Tasks
- Maintain and organize case files, documents, and records.
- Manage and calendar court deadlines.
-Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and trial binders.
-Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
-Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the basic principles and practices of the law firm and legal systems.
Training
The student will undergo a orientation with the attorney who will go over expectations, as well as basic training. There will be a weekly scheduled one-on-one mentor meetings, as well as mandatory job shadowing. Along with the personalized training from the attorney himself, the student will also work alongside a paralegal in the office.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to identify, write down and carry out performance objectives related to their job assignment. They will develop work habits and attitudes necessary for job success and develop communication, interpersonal and other critical skills.
