OUR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

UsedCardboardBoxes & UCBZeroWaste (UCB) designs, implements, and manages large-scale waste reduction programs that help major US companies reduce waste (cost) and increase recycling & reuse (revenue). We help them get to Zero Waste to Landfill at no out-of-pocket cost.

We are looking for an energetic and self-motivated marketing intern to join our growing marketing department. If you’re an ambitious individual who wants to build a career in social media and content marketing, then we want to work with you. Your work will include preparing promotional presentations, monitoring social platforms, and conducting market analysis.

INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performing market analysis and research on the latest trends.
• Assisting with daily administrative duties.
• Designing and presenting new social media campaign ideas.
• Monitoring all social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback.
• Preparing detailed promotional presentations.
• Helping with the planning and hosting of marketing events.
• Researching and evaluating competitor marketing and digital content.
• Contributing to the creation of mock-ups, email campaigns, and social media content.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate course for marketing, communications, or in a similar field.
• Familiarity with marketing computer software and social media platforms.
• Good understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Outstanding multitasking abilities.
• Must have a passion for marketing and for the environment and helping people/companies reduce environmental impact.
• Must be committed to work, at least, 2 days/week onsite.

Tasks:

Under the supervision of our CEO and Project Managers, the intern can expect to perform market analysis, create social media contents and design a marketing campaign, research on latest industry marketing trends and lead marketing-related projects that would be valuable to UCB.

Training:

The Intern will be working with UCB'S Office of the CEO team and/or other internal departments with marketing-related tasks. The intern will report to our LA office at least twice a week and will have the opportunity to work directly with our CEO. He/she will also do job shadowing to understand and be able to work on the projects effectively and efficiently.

Apply marketing concepts to problems and issues within industry.
Evaluate and improve marketing strategies.
Perform market analysis.
Present social media campaigns.
