CSSOR and EWP InternAt — CSUF - College of Health and Human Development
The intern will assist with the logistics and coordination of the 6th annual CSSOR conference, including speaker coordination and event promotion. He will also support the CSSOR in organizing the Greece Study Abroad and promotion of CSSOR’s Journal of Olympic Studies through social media. Simultaneously, as the Health and Wellness Director, at the Employee Wellness Program, he will help to over see the program, supervising undergraduate interns and promoting health initiatives across campus.
Learning Outcomes
-Develop organizational and leadership skills required for running fitness center
-Develop marketing and promotional skills through the development of programming at the EWP
-Develop communication and management skills and the tasks required to run a successful academic conference
-Analyze different forms of promotional campaigns that are effective in getting people active across the CSUF
Training
-Work with the student to develop promotional campaigns at the EWP
-Provide the student with various tasks leading up to the CSSOR conference
-Provide the student with CSSOR social media information so he can promote the conference on the platform
-Help with monitoring EWP usage
Tasks/Duties
-Developing and creating at least two unique promotional activities every month for the EWP
-Collecting quantitative data on the number of participants using the EWP. The goal is to have the number of participants double over the course of the semester
-Assisting with the annual CSSOR conference in March including setting up/taking down tables, helping conference participants, working the registration table, networking at events, conducting on campus tours
