Opportunity Summary 

We are looking for a BSW or MSW student to complete their practicum in a faith-based environment. You will be giving hands-on training and mentoring in one-on-one client engagement, community outreach, experience in HIPAA-compliant clinical note-taking, participate in client advocacy, network with other community resource organizations, and much more.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

-Personal names and organizations to refer clients for various forms of assistance -How to assess/evaluate a client's financial situation and walk them through budgeting -Work one-on-one with clients -how to implement various evidence-based clinical interventions -Genograms on clients to evaluate -How to create and implement boundaries in their work life -How to create flyers for community events/drives/programs -How to write a community program proposal -Introduced to some group therapy

Opportunity Training 

Hands-on training, videos, documents, and verbal training will be provided for the first few weeks of the internship.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Being vaccinated is not required, but our non-profit does abide by all state requirements for reporting COVID and regulations to return to work.
