Marketing & Community Engagement InternAt — Illumination Foundation

Opportunity Summary 

The Marketing and Community Engagement Intern will support Illumination Foundation's Comm/Dev Department with creating social media posts (copy and design) as well as support community engagement events (planning and coordination), including data management and importing.

Tasks include:

- Design social media content and copy
- Design marketing materials and flyers
- Design newsletter and write copy
- Plan and coordinate community engagement events
- Data management

Training

Students will participate in an online orientation and on-site training for the internship

We start with a virtual orientation with the Community Engagement department to go over program and policies and procedures.

First day training will take place at the designated site with the site supervisor to go over policies and procedures, safety, and programs as well as receive a site tour. Students can have as many check-ins with their supervisor as needed but should meet with them weekly. Evaluations are also provided for student program requirements. 

Learning Outcome:

- Develop content writing skills for different platforms
- Gain experience in implementing marketing strategies across various platforms
- Plan and execute events and activities that foster community engagement
- Develop strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with community members
