Opportunity Summary 

An internship with San Joaquin County Behavioral Health will provide an opportunity for students to gain significant clinical skills necessary to become proficient in providing clinical services and interventions including but not limited to: assessing and diagnosing clients, formulation of care plans that address presenting symptoms and is also holistic and comprehensive, and exposure to multiple treatment modalities.

Opportunity Training 

Students will be provided with clinical and administrative supervision, as well as shadowing opportunities and various trainings in clinical modalities and engagement strategies.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Risk management requirements will vary depending on the department students are assigned to. The department head will be able to speak to specific safety and risk requirements including any field-based work or client considerations.
