Program Information

General Description of what students will be doing at this Site: Tobacco Education and Prevention is looking for an intern available to work in the office and in the field 10-15 hours per week. Students will work with the Health Educator on Tobacco Education and Prevention (TEP) related activities. This includes data collection, educational events, and community clean-ups. The Health Educator will review TEP's work plan with the students and determine which activities would be best for the student to work on.

Key Responsibilities: Updating TEP Facebook page. Attend Tobacco Education Coalition (TEC) meetings. Help organize educational presentations. Assist in data collection. Help recruit TEC members.

Desired Intern Characteristics: Familiar with microsoft office, strong knowledge of program monitoring and evaluation, independent worker, punctual

Interprofessional opportunities available for the student: Tobacco Education is a part of Community Health Education. We closely interact with Safe and Active Transportation, CalFresh Health Living, and Oral Health. Students will be able to meet and interact with a myriad of public health professionals.
