HR Assistant InternAt — BT Bros Inc
Tasks:
Shadow HR manager during payroll to learn how to use the portal, file and organize the employees documents, check with the current labor laws to keep the company in compliance, communicate with employees to make sure the food production is on track for the week, calculate sick hours, interview any possible applicants, familiarize every employee and their job duties, and review EDD letters.

Training:
The intern will go through the company orientation and will be shadowing the HR manager (myself).
We are a small company so besides being the HR manager, I am also in charge of production. The intern will follow me and observe as I interact with my employees.
Example, I will maybe ask them, \\How many pallets are left of baguettes, croissants.\\ And then The bakers and I will formulate a weekly plan on what to produce. The goal is to get the intern to learn our way of communication.
Lastly, I will show the intern how to navigate through the ADP portal as part of the training.
Learning Outcome:
By the end of the internship, the student will be knowledgeable on the California labor laws, effectively communicate to employees from a managerial position, how to navigate our payroll provider (ADP).
