Opportunity Summary 

Providing companionship for terminally ill patients through active listening, friendship and presence.
Providing comfort for bereaved families through bereavement calls, bereavement support groups, and workshops.
Learning collaboration for team members through interdisciplinary group meeting.

Training
Initial 5 hour orientation
Continuing Education once a month for one hour topics relates to death, dying, and hospice.
30 min supervision once a week

Learning Outcomes
To understand death and dying.
To learn about hospice and it's process.
To be able to provide comfort terminally ill patients.
To learn to collaborate with other discipline.
