Preschool Teacher's AssistantAt — Kids Adventure Learning Center
Assist Teachers in basic supervision and care of children ages 2-5 years old. Implement Theme based curriculum, and follow a daily schedule, while keeping a clean, safe, inviting environment for the children.
Students should be able to provide adequate supervision and care to children ages 2-5, have the ability to communicate effectively with parents and staff, have gained experience and be able to introduce, teacher, and create their own aqge appropriate activities in the fields of art, language, math, science, music.
Students should have acquired a good understanding of Title 22 and also gathered basic child development experience for further job opportunities.
Students will shadow classroom teachers, working closely in a group setting of at least 1-2 Lead Teachers at any time. Lead Teachers will supervise and train students in our Centers rules, methods, theories, and procedures. Students will also receive a introductory overview training given by the Director along with a Handbook of general company information, rules, protocol.
Tasks:
-communicate effectively with teachers, Director, and parents
-assist in classroom management/supervision- circle time, nap, lunch, snack, recess
- help teachers to implement rules and procedures in order to enforce order and proper supervision of children
-assist teacher with the implementation of our theme based curriculum (including basic concepts of letters/numbers/colors/shapes etc- involving math, science, art, music, language arts)
- diaper changes, and general care of children throughout the day (prep of snack, nap, lunch etc)
- exhibit understanding of child development milestones and understanding to further assist children, teachers, and parents
- keep a clean, safe, educationally inviting environment for children at all times
- help teachers with general classroom record keeping (attendance, meal counts, behavior/ouch reports, etc)
