Los Angeles County Development Authority (LACDA)

Organization Description

In 1982, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors consolidated 3 entities – the Housing Authority, the Community Development Department, and the Redevelopment Agency to form the Community Development Commission. In 2019, the agency was officially rebranded as the LACDA. The LACDA is part of the County family, but not a County Department. The LACDA’s core pillars include affordable housing, and community and economic development. The agency’s wide-ranging programs benefit residents and business owners in the unincorporated LA County areas and in various incorporated cities.
