Child Care Assistant TeacherAt — Stepping Stones -Fullerton
For our internship program, individual will work with our staff to help care and supervise the students attending Stepping Stones Children's Center. Our program is focused on the creative learning approach and inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach. We hope that our interns will develop new teaching skills regarding curriculum development, supervision, and classroom management.
- Show an interest and initiative in assuming the increasing responsibilities of
- Demonstrate effective classroom management
- Maintain confidentiality of information received about students or school personnel.
- Be fair, impartial, and consistent in working with children.
- Be aware of and meet all deadlines for assignments that are required.
Training:
Interns will always be with a lead teacher when children are present. They will shadow the lead teachers from the various grades. We will also provide interns with resources regarding the school's curriculum and program. There will also be meetings between the intern and lead teacher in order to evaluate the experiences.
Learning Outcomes:
- Initiate meaningful interactions with children from ages 2 to 5 years old
- Develop leadership skills within the classroom for stronger learning processes and classroom management.
