Opportunity Summary 

At Aria Behavior Clinic we provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA therapy) for clients with neurodevelopmental Disorders( like individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and ADHD, etc.). This therapy is 1:1 and the therapist works directly with the patient.

 Therapists are working under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. 

The therapist starts the session by getting some updates from the parent or the caregiver of the client regarding any concerns, any new behaviors, and how the client is at school today, any notes or feedback from school will be reviewed Then they prepare the session notes and all the programs that need to be implemented during the session, item, and supplies for the session would be ready. The client will be transferred to the table and the programs (based on the treatment plan) will start. They work on social, communication, and self-care routine programs. They collect the data on how the client responds. at the end of the session, session notes will be completed, data will be transferred. and the session ends.

Training:

Therapists will have 40 hours of training with a competency test afterward, to meet the criteria and be able to start the cases. Also, they get extra training monthly to be updated on The Principles of Behavior Therapy. Each therapist has a meeting with the BCBA regularly a month to review the treatment plan the data and the progress of the client.

Learning Outcomes:

1-Implementing programs for the patients, while collecting data and completing the notes for each session progress under the direct supervision of the supervisor
2- Being able to work with different populations and cultural diversity
3-Being able to understand the deficit and the skills the clients have and improve the deficit the clients have and focusing on using the strength to improve the other skills and fill the gap, to make the life of the client and the families more independent and socially appropriate
4- being able to accept the feedback from the supervisor
5- being a good teamwork member since this therapy needs the coordination of care with the school, parents, ABA team, and medical providers
