Opportunity Summary 

Responsible for providing community resource information assistance to participants, providing linkages to service providers, performing outreach to community organizations and local schools, researching information regarding community services, gathering/collecting required program data, promoting FRC programs services, assisting in the evaluation of participant needs, representing the FRC at community events and maintaining required documentation, collecting and inputting data into the FaCT database; and attending required meetings.

Student will support the FRC by participating in outreach events
Student will provide presentations at schools or other agencies that want to learn more about FRC Services.
Maria will conduct thorough and comprehensive intakes on clients that are in need and/or interested in services.
Maria will be provided with 3-5 referrals to provide provide information & referral services, and linkages to community services.
Maria will meet with the FRC Director regularly to discuss learning objectives/activities to learn best practices and to debrief client needs (when applicable).
Maria will provide a one time presentation to teens or parents on a topic that is relevant to client needs or a topic she would like to bring more awareness to.

Training:

Student will be provided with a general orientation of Information & Referral duties and her role as an intern. She will also be provided weekly scheduled one-on-one supervision meetings to discuss cases, center procedures/processes, and community resources.
Student will also shadow staff to familiarize herself with FRC presentations.

Student will learn to use supervision wisely and learn more about community resources
Student will develop critical thinking skills.
