Civil Law Firm Administrative InternAt — Bruce Boice Attorney
This position will assist the attorneys with new and existing clients, to identify their issues and needs of the firm. This position will Interview with potential and current clients to identify priorities to the firm. Strong communication skills needed as well as independent thinking. Answering phones, and administrative skills required, such as operating a computer.
Doing intakes of new clients, in person and on the phone
Qualifying clients to determine their civil legal needs
Following up with clients by email, written correspondence or phone
Form a recommendation as to whether the potential client should be referred to the attorney.
Submit a brief budget analysis on the pre-filled forms provided by the firm
emailing correspondents
mailing out intake packages
accompany attorneys to meetings & business seminars
Training:
Intern will be trained by shadowing current employees interviews with clients and attorneys. Intern will be trained by current employees how to answer the phone and proceed with the intakes which will determine whether a follow up meeting needs to take place. A general employee orientation will take place the first week of internship. Examples of past intakes will be provided to Intern as a training guide.
