Volunteer TutorAt — The Preuss School UC San Diego

Opportunity Summary

The Preuss School UC San Diego is a public 6-12 school authorized by the San Diego Unified School District. A large majority of our students come from underrepresented backgrounds, lower incomes, and/or are first-generation. Once on campus, scholars are challenged with a rigorous curriculum while providing a wrap-around variety of supports. As a volunteer, you have the opportunity to work in classrooms as a tutor and are able to engage with students in the learning process. Tutors are welcome to assist in math, science, English, Spanish, and physical education classes.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes

By the end of this opportunity, students will have learned different aspects of the teaching and learning relationship. This is a great opportunity for those interested in working with middle and high schoolers.
