Opportunity Summary 

The University Police Department provides Criminal Justice student interns with the ability to gain experience at at criminal justice agency performing administrative tasks such as records management, parking bureau duties including managing parking tickets and related data bases. 

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Administrative duties, assisting in managing related data and records and related administrative work. Assisting with records filing storage will also be part of the student intern's work. Special selection-student intern must pass a fingerprint LiveScan and preliminary background check.

Opportunity Training 

Working around University Police allows for additional knowledge and understanding the fundamentals of running a small police department and related policing and criminal justice duties and working within such an environment.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

No risk or low risk to student. Student intern will perform administrative tasks under direct supervision of full-time, permanent personnel.
