Students will participate in the data collection and maintenance of agricultural research projects. Assisting in the success of organic agriculture practices including evaluating soil health, measuring weed suppression, and comparing crop yield.
Learn practical aspects of organic vegetable farming along with how to conduct research trials and collect data for agriculture experiments
We will either join the students in the data collection, providing in-field instruction and observation while the data is being taken. Any process or measurement will be given instruction and time to test practice to ensure that the data is collected correctly.
Work is completed outdoors in agriculture fields so the student must be able to work outdoors during periods of high heat and wind. Shade and adequate water will be provided on site.
