Opportunity Summary 

The intern will assist in the research, verification and recruitment of Orange County employers on every level from entrepreneurs to Fortune 500 companies, to engage them on a one-of-a-kind Job Board designed to match employers with trained, career-ready local talent.

Intern will assist in vetting and approving employers, respond and interact with client inquiries and requests through the Job Board administrative portal and generate bi-weekly reports for executive meeting review.

Intern will shadow and assist Director on in-person recruitment calls to employers to observe and interact with potential clients, describing Job Board, features and benefits.

Use “deep dive” research techniques to identify top target companies in each of the major Orange County industries: Life Sciences (Healthcare & Biotech), Construction, Business Administration, Advanced Transportation, Hospitality & Tourism, and Advanced Manufacturing within each of 5 cities we serve: Irvine, Santa Ana, Costa Mesa, Newport Beach & Orange for recruitment to the YES Workforce Solutions Job Board.

Capture and verify information and critical contacts within target companies.

Generate reports and assist in strategically planning marketing efforts to target industries.

Daily management of the Job Board, generating reports for executive meetings.

Providing excellent customer service to current clients, potential employer recruits and staff members.

Training:

We will provide full, in-house on-boarding at our corporate office, supervise and support the intern during all work hours.

We will provide appropriate Job Board training for each section and review expected goals for the designated time frame.

We will guide the intern through advanced research techniques through internet and other in-house resources available.

The intern will “shadow” and observe me on virtual and in-person calls to potential employer recruits. Intern may interact with clients and recruits as the situation requires.

I will provide weekly feedback and ask for observations, ideas and thoughts for improvement throughout the internship time frame.

Learning Outcomes:

Operate a custom software program designed as a Job Board for YES Workforce Solutions.

Apply \\deep dive\\ research techniques to find information and the appropriate contacts within target companies.

Confer with customers by phone, email, or in person to provide information on Job Board services and performance.

Access and provide regular data reporting to supervisor and co-workers from Job Board administrative portal.

Feel confident in any customer service situation and will have mastered the skills to respond appropriately.
