Opportunity Summary
Unique opportunity to tutor middle school to high school aged youth who have been identified of having gang nexus. Monthly Tutoring parties is part of a wider service program that connects these youth with caring mentors, most with lived experience, all with a heart to see these youth thrive. Help these youth see that it's not too late for them them do well in the world of academia and education.
Opportunity Learning Outcomes
How to help youth utilize context clues to decipher homework prompts. How to use educational tools to search for answers. How to effectively communicate/and relate to youth from diverse backgrounds.
