Opportunity Summary 

Leave a place better than it was when you first arrived and assist Oceanside’s crown heights community resource center with the inception, and implementation of a garden renovation! The work will be varied from helping idéate and measuring community needs to physically planting and working the garden to helping coordinate vendors and the community to revitalize the sole green gem in the crown heights neighborhood. This job is for perfect those that don’t mind twigs in their hair while they work to bring a project to life. One that will help food justice efforts, native plants and develop sustainable practices for an urban garden that has impacted the community’s health and wellbeing.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

General administrative tasks, Will have learned to network with professionals, data entry, clerical tasks, construction methodologies, skilled manual labor, real world epericnce on holistic gang prevention.
