Editor and Publishing InternAt — California Senior Guide

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Internship Editor and Publishing Intern. In this role, the intern will be responsible for various tasks related to editorial work, article publishing, community outreach, and magazine distribution, with a focus on assisting seniors in the community.

Tasks:

Content editing: Reviewing articles, ensuring accuracy, coherence, and adherence to style guidelines.
1. Article Publishing: Assisting in the publication process, including formatting articles for print and online platforms.
2. Community Engagement: Collaborating with senior centers to gather stories, articles, and insights relevant to their needs and interests.
3. Interviews: Conducting interviews with celebrities, community leaders, and local personalities to feature in magazine.
4. Content Creation: Writing articles, features, and profiles relevant to the interests and concerns of seniors in the community.

Training:

The student will attend in person one on one training. Every Monday there will be a review session to go over deadlines and progress on their current project. Communication is always open, therefor the student will be able to collaborate with other interns and staff.

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the internship, the student will be able collaborate with others, create articles and content, gain interview skills, enhance their writing, and can develop a layout for a magazine.
