Organization Description

To develop economic and grassroots community development in rural unincorporated BIPOC communities in California’s Central Valley capable of being the catalyst of transformative and equitable change to the most vulnerable and marginalized communities. CVEA applies hundreds of one-on-one and house meetings to build leadership to bring forth equity and racial justice. CVEA holds the fundamental beliefs: 1) Never. Never do for others what they can do for themselves, 2) Experts are those directly impacted, 3) Unconditional Love 4) Meeting folks where they are and 5) No Judgement.

Health & Safety

Central Valley Empowerment Alliance services farmworker families, children and youth facing food scarcity and housing insecurity.

Intern will be provide supervision by both the Executive Director and Lead Organizer/Policy Director. As a policy, staff is paired when being in the community.

Central Valley Empowerment Alliance has a security system and has developed strong relationships with community and law enforcement.
