Seasonal Advocacy + Inclusion InternAt — #ICANHELP

Opportunity Summary 

The Seasonal Advocacy + Inclusion Intern will promote access, equity, and inclusion both within the organization and in external communities through policy-change initiatives, marketing campaigns, and events. The ideal candidate will have a passion for diversity and inclusion, as well as experience with communications and advocacy work. 

Tasks:

Develop a survey to identify the needs of our diverse community
Coordinate outreach to advocacy and inclusion leaders
Analyze impacts of current issues and generate messaging to the general public on behalf of Digital4Good
Generate posts on advocacy and inclusion issues
Collect demographics and data research for grant writing, as needed
Initiate advocacy work through policy change and legislation
Maintain clear communication with team members on status of assigned project(s) through weekly meetings with the team and supervisor
Attend quarterly Advisory Steering Committee

Training:

Students will have an initial general orientation meeting and complete our onboarding process, where they will receive an overview of assigned tasks, guidance on how to use ClickUp (our project management tool) and access key folders/documents, and familiarize themselves with the organization and its brand assets. After the onboarding process is complete, students will have weekly scheduled meetings with their supervisor and team members.
