Organization Description

North County Community Services (NCCS) now operating as Growing Minds Early Education Programs is a nonprofit organization in Northern San Diego County. Growing Minds is passionately committed to improving our neighbors health and well being by providing programs that educate young children, support working families, and ultimately create opportunities to improve the quality of life for residents of North County.

Program Information

The educational program shall include activities that meet the cultural and individual developmental needs of every child. Curriculum and assessments are developed using the California Preschool Learning Foundations.  The Preschool Learning Foundations outline key knowledge and skills that most children can achieve when provided with the kinds of interactions, instruction and environments shown by research to promote learning and development. The educational activities shall help each child develop:

• Socialization Skills

• Physical Growth and Development

• Problem Solving Skills, Nature, Math and Science

• Literacy, Language, and Communication Skills

• Enrichment activities such as Music, the Arts and Visual and Performing Arts
