Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove is looking for Caseworker Interns!
We have internship opportunities great for those interested in working with children, adolescents and families!
Case Workers intern at our Community Impact Programs to provide translation services, conduct intakes, case management, connect families to community resources and other related support services to children and their families. Other clerical duties include scheduling intakes and maintaining accurate and up to date case records of all services in accordance with state and county regulations. Case Workers provide support to our families in the community and serve as positive role models and establish meaningful relationships that will encourage and motivate youth!

Schedule:
FYOP: M-Th 11:00am-8:00pm, F 9:00am-6:00pm & S 9:00am-5:00pm
TRC: M-F 8:00am-4:30pm - Occasional evening hours
ARCHES: M-T 8:00am-6:00pm & W 8:00am-5:00pm
Qualifications:
Bilingual capabilities preferred
Must be at least 19 years of age
Must be currently enrolled in college - Human Services, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling or other related program
For TRC: Must have a valid CA driver license, safe driving record, at least 2 years of driving experience, automobile insurance and reliable transportation
Must clear screening and background check
Tasks
Helps the program interact with the community both in the office setting and at community events. Assists with compiling referrals, classes, scheduling intake appointments with clients and families, connecting families to community resources, and clerical support
Training
- Online Orientation conducted by HR Representative
- Training in duties such as conducting intakes, case management, and admin responsibilities conducted by onsite supervisor
Learning Outcomes
•Will learn how to provide referrals and community resources to clients and families
•Will learn how to assist in teaching educational classes to school aged children, teens and parents as needed
•Will learn how to assist in collecting, entering and compiling data relating to clients served and services provided
•Will learn how to assist in screening, selecting and enrolling clients, and follow up with phone contact as needed
