Opportunity Summary 

The Homeless Garden Project (HGP), founded in 1990 and based in Santa Cruz, California, provides job training, transitional employment and support services to people experiencing homelessness. In addition, HGP operates a thriving community education and volunteer program. Our programs take place on our 3.5 acre organic farm and related social enterprises.

We are seeking a motivated intern to join our Business & Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive social impact through the development of technology solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, design, and implement a streamlined tax program for our organization.
  • Assist with website maintenance, software updates, and technical troubleshooting.

Required:

  • Computer Literacy
  • Must be 18 or older
Opportunity Training 

The student will be given a background of HGP and its mission. We will also spend time for the first week going through the tasks, how to get access, introductions, etc. We also will spend time to go over the software/web development that HGP uses and answer any questions they may have.
