Behavioral Health SpecialistAt — Inland Empire Health Plan
Work with leadership and front-line staff to gain an understanding of how to assess members behavioral health needs and assist them with access and navigation to services. Gain experience in a call center environment that is geared towards member seeking mental health resources and services.
Complete evaluations of current front-time staffs work efforts to evaluate accuracy with regulatory compliance (state and company compliance).
Training:
Introduction to the department which will provide an overview of the objectives. Student will receive training on the departments processes and procedures. Student will participate in one-on-one meetings (virtual and/or in-person) in addition to shadowing leads and frontline staff.
Learning Outcomes:
Student will be able to complete DHCS youth and adult screening tools which are used to evaluate their level of care needs.
Student will be able process member inbound calls and connect them to behavioral health providers and services.
Student will gain skills necessary to identify unspoken behavioral health needs (included other support) and connect members with programs that will improve their overall wellbeing.
