Opportunity Summary 

Are you seeking to gain work experience at an organization that makes a positive impact in our community? Are you passionate about supporting women and minority-owned businesses? Become an intern with Women’s Economic Ventures (WEV)!

WEV (pronounced “weave”) is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating an equitable and just society through the economic empowerment of women. We are a purposeful, mission-driven organization with a passionate and engaged staff based in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties, whose primary focus is on supporting women-owned businesses and entrepreneurship.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

• Assisting with program coordination & administration, including updating grant reporting documentation.
• Updating business training curriculum and learning materials.
• Assisting with social media marketing campaigns, gathering client stories and creating/reviewing content.
• Communicating with team members consistently and effectively.
• Attending team meetings as requested.

Preferred skills: Bilingual, fluent in written and spoke Spanish, and experience working with Latinx bicultural communication

Opportunity Training 

Practical training in translation and financial education using WEV's translation guidelines.
